Networking is often at the heart of any successful WordCamp. As with our format which is experimental, we are trying out a new networking experiment with our Gold Sponsors who will have a booth at the event.
One thing we notice is attendees often do not know what to ask or speak about with a sponsor. Sometimes they are overwhelmed or simply shy. We thought about ways to make the general sponsor booth experience a little more interactive by introducing this activity.
How it works for an attendee!
- While registering, every attendee will be given a sheet of paper with three questions per sponsor.
- They will need to find the answers to their question by visiting the sponsor booth.
- At the end of the day we will run a small contest and select a winner from all the correct entries. They will be given a goodie bag.
For Sponsors
For our Gold sponsors this is a unique opportunity to have interactive and fun conversations that are slightly guided.
It also means a lot of attendees who might by shy, or socially anxioud will find it a lot easier to get a conversation started with the sponsor at their booth, because they have questions printed out for them to ask.
