A last round of speaker announcements

While we were announcing our speaker line up one by one – we are left with just another day for WordCamp Pune to start.

Here is a list of seven speakers that will speak at the WordCamp.

Md. Anam Hossain

Anam Hossain is a passionate WordPress Developer and developing at ThemeXpert for 3+ years. He likes to play with the technology and implement those into themes and plugins. On weekends he tries to contribute to the WordPress community and helps to solve problems in the WordPress Forums.

His topic will be WordPress Plugin Development from Scratch with ReactJS

Alexander Gounder

Alex is a known face in the WordPress Community in India, primarily because of his work as Meetup Organizer and Organizer in Mumbai. 

He runs a digital agency called Ink my web in Mumbai which focuses on developing websites in WordPress, other than providing Inbound Marketing, Social media marketing and SEO Services.

Alex will speak on a How he broke WordCamps in India

Kushal Pandya

Kushal is a Frontend Engineer at GitLab for past 2 years and is maintainer of both GitLab CE and EE. His job includes working mainly in Plan and Portfolio Management side of things in GitLab EE, he also is a Merge Request Coach (i.e. assisting community contributors in contributing to GitLab).

Kushal will speak about SaSSy Components

Saurabh Dixit

Saurabh is a Software Engineer lead and mentor at Axelerant. His forte is web development with WordPress and he’s contributed various WordPress plugins to the community—with several plugins are having 50K+ active installs.

Saurabh will speak on Automation: Modernising your deployment

Imran Sayed

Imran’s WordPress journey began in 2015, where he started learning WordPress and Javascript. What he loves about the WordPress community is that it is open and inclusive, one of the most vibrant open source communities globally!

At WordCamp Pune, he will Introduce us to Gutenberg

Makarand Mane

Makarand is WordPress enthusiast, working on WordPress from last 7 years. From label of full freelance status he now turned into Agency with special brand for WordPress Service known as WPGenius.in

A long time Marathi translation contributor and GTE – he will take stock of Marathi translation project for WordPress.

Tripad Mishra

Tripad is a freelance UI/UX designer and a closet coder. He has helped worked on a wide variety of WordPress & WooCommerce projects in the past. He is an open source enthusiast with a passion for DIY and undying love for Coffee.

Tripad will give us some ideas of optimizing your (self hosted) WordPress website

Speaker: Karthik Magapu on Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) on WP ecommerce sites

Karthik has been a regular at WordCamps around India. He is a local from Pune and will be speaking on Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) specifically for WordPress based e-commerce sites.

Karthikraj is Co-Founder and Chief Explorer of Hummingbird Web Solutions (http://hbwsl.com), which builds and supports products for Web developers and Web Designers.

Hummingbird offers WordPress themes (http://cyberchimps.com), WordPress plugins (http://wpeka.comhttp://slidedeck.com) and a SAAS commerce CRO tool (http://humcommerce.com)

He also practices Yoga, loves Open Source, and still hopes he will one day learn to ride a Unicycle 🙂

About Session

Karthik will be talking to us about Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) for WooCommerce website owners. He will cover usage of Heatmaps, A/B testing, Session Recordings, Funnels and other techniques to figure out why visitors on your website are not converting to buyers.

His session will cover the basics of CRO, suggest which tools/plugins you can use, and also offer insights and tips from his personal experience

Speaker: Vaidehi Singh Sharma – Remote Job Or 9 Hours Office? | Covering Daily Stories

Our next speaker is Vaidehi Singh Sharma. She lives in Pune and is a Digital Marketer with no marketing degree but loads of failures to make her who she is. She turned her passion for writing to a profession.

She was bullied for having non-expertise in technology but then found her way into tech thanks to WordPress. She considers WordPress her superhero. She is often found online helping people on WordPress.com forums.

Remote Job Or 9 Hours Office? | Covering Daily Stories

Vaidehi will be discussing the difference between a professional working on a remote job versus a professional working in a full-time office-based job. This will be an interactive session where Vaidehi will be sharing some stories around these two kinds of work environments. The stories covered in this talk will be funny, extremely emotional, sometimes disheartening, may have too much drama, and will cover the topics that might disturb those who create and nurture taboos. However, the theme will be WordPress.

This talk will be in Hinglish (Hindi+English). It will be useful to those who are willing to see both sides of a coin and above all, loves stories!

Speaker: Ionut Neagu on The Good, The Bad and The Ugly of SEO

This will be Ionut’s first time speaking at a WordCamp in Pune. He will be visiting us from all the way from Bucharest, Romania.

Ionut is a young entrepreneur running several small & medium businesses with the help of a 20+ person team. His WordPress journey started with the launch of CodeinWP in 2012, a year later ThemeIsle was born.

Fast forward to 2019, products like Hestia, Neve or OrbitFox are used by half a million people, while CodeinWP and ThemeIsle blogs are visited by more than a million people every month.

User acquisition and traffic, in general, are one of the biggest struggles startups have those days. In his talk, Ionut will try to shed some light on how SEO can help, debunk some myths and illustrate with practical examples some core concepts that will help you grow your site’s traffic
