Share Your WordPress Story at WordCamp Pune
The WordPress Open Mic at WordCamp Pune is a space for the community to share real, honest WordPress stories.
This is not about perfect talks or expert knowledge. It’s about people, experiences, and learning together. If WordPress has been part of your journey, we’d love to hear from you.
Who Can Apply?
Anyone from the WordPress community can apply:
- First-time WordCamp attendees
- First-time speakers
- Developers, designers, marketers, writers
- Students, freelancers, contributors
*No speaking experience is required.
Session Details
- Session: WordPress Open Mic: Stories from the Community
- Duration: ~60 minutes
- Speaking Time: ~5 minutes per person
- Format: Mic-only, no slides
Topic Guidelines
All stories should be based on personal experience and related to WordPress or the WordPress community.

- Moving from non-technical to WordPress
- A WordPress project that didn’t work out
- How WordPress helped you start freelancing or working independently
- Your first contribution to WordPress
- What the WordPress community means to you
- Your first WordCamp experience
Please Avoid
- Selling or promoting products/services
- Product demos
- Company or agency promotion
- Client case studies
- Hiring or recruitment pitches
Important Note
- Participation in the WordPress Open Mic does not count as a regular WordCamp talk.
- Open Mic participants will not receive a Speaker badge or Speaker perks.
- This session is purely community-driven and meant for sharing stories and experiences.
