Why Budget Transparency?

As you can see from the budget numbers above, hosting a WordCamp is no small feat. From securing a venue to providing refreshments, and printing badges to providing water, every detail involves a cost.

Our team works tirelessly to stretch every rupee, ensuring the event remains accessible, viable and sustainable. Also when we say, our team – we are a group of unpaid volunteers who live in Pune, and do this because we all love WordPress and the local community.

The general ticket price of ₹500 ($5.87) does not even come close to covering the actual cost per attendee. The actual cost per person is slightly over ₹2,000 (US $23.49).

How can you help?

You can always help out by participating the WordCamp as a sponsor. Our Sponsor slabs are currently Gold, Silver and Bronze.

  • Gold : ₹60,000 ($750 USD)
  • Silver: ₹40,000 ($500 USD)
  • Bronze: ₹20,000 ($250 USD)

Check out our call for sponsors and apply as a sponsor!

But becoming a sponsor is not always feasible, and you still want to show your support. This is why we have two premium tickets that can help us reach our financial goals

  1. WP-ADMIN at ₹2,000/-.(US $23.49)
  2. WP-SUPERADMIN at ₹4,000 (US $46.98).

This allows anyone who is buying a ticket for the WordCamp, to fund either the actual cost of one attendee (themselves) or cover the actual cost of two attendees.

Buy your tickets here.

What happens if we raise more money?

All the sponsor payments are done to WPCS, an entity that helps finace WordCamps around the world and administered by the WordPress Community Team. So any surplus funds we have will be with WPCS and help in funding other events around the world!
